Becky Hartung is a Denver, Colorado based writer + researcher. She is a graduate student at Regis University pursing a Master's in Communication Studies with an emphasis in humor + advocacy studies.
She is most associated with her debut book, Running in the Dark, a personal memoir chronicling her battle with anxiety, depression, and navigating the change from a small town in Ohio to Los Angeles.
Her writing has been featured on the popular mental wellness group To Write Love on Her Arms, Conscious Magazine, Bella Grace, Grace Notes, + Grit + Virtue. In 2015, she presented her research Humor + Communication: Finding the Bond of Laughter at the National Communication in Las Vegas, NE.
Becky continues to write and speak while being a dog mom to her rescue, Lily. (Named after Lily Potter, of course.)
